Setting Captives Free

What are we to do with this hurt we feel in our hearts? Where are we to go to release this pain? Do we turn to things that provide a temporary solace; people that try to comfort, which is also temporary? "Why, how, where?", is the questions that cloud your mind. Another day has come, the sun has risen, yet, you still feel that wrenching pain inside. "Why does no one here me; why does no one understand?", you ask yourself during the moments of despair. Is it freedom you desire, and no longer crying in the night? There is only one who can do it, for He Himself said, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised" (Luke 4:18). He is Jesus Christ, the one who sets free hose who are held captive by this world, by their minds, and by their own hearts. It is Christ, and Christ alone, who can give you freedom from a life that is draining you. Jesus hears your cries and He waits for you to cry to Him; Christ did not sacrifice Himself for you to still be trapped by sin. Hear His call my beloved friends. Why do you ignore the only one who can deliver you, and the one who loves you with an everlasting love? Come to the Lord Jesus Christ, He will free you, and give you rest. Grace be with you all.
