When God sets His heart on you

When God sets His heart on you, He will never stop pursuing you. You may run and run, but you will be miserable until you submit to Him. God reaches out to all, and to everyone in unique ways. He is not a God that sleeps; He can reach you anytime, no matter where you are. I thank my Savior everyday for not giving up on me. The things He allowed me to go through, He used to draw me to Himself. The so called kingdom that I built, crumbled like a sand castle when Christ reached into my heart of stone. The false god that I worshiped, was proven to be a wanna be and was powerless against Jesus. Despite my blasphemous actions, Christ continued to call to me. After 15 years of running, denying Christ, wishing my end would come quickly, I finally called out to Him. On the morning of June 9, 2014, my loving Savior, in the most gentlest of ways. broke my heart. With my Lord, I was crucified; I died that day I called out to Him. I laid down a life that was killing me, and was leading me to eternal separation from God, to never hear His call again. But Jesus Christ gave me a new life; He delivered me from addiction, manic depression, suicide, all of my shame, and so much more that would take too much space to type. I pray that I die to myself everyday, till all that is left is Christ. The apostle Paul wrote, "For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain"(Philippians 1:21). Beloved, the reward is Christ Himself. If He never gave up on someone like me, He will never give up on you. Jesus Christ reaches for you right where you are. Peace and grace be with you all.
