Bring on The Rain

Rain can cleanse, and it can flood. Rain can sustain crops and livestock, and it can devastate entire regions; what is the rain in your life bringing? Is it cleansing you or flooding your mind, sustaining your growth or devastating you and those around you? There is such a burden on me today as I hear and see so much hurt, so much pain around me and throughout, and so many who do not know Christ. Lord, what can we do; what can I do? With tears in my eyes, the Lord says, "Praise me through the rain; lift your eyes to me, the one who will sustain you in it, and give you the power to go through it". I can not begin to imagine what you feel, nor what your going through, but this I know, Jesus Christ has not changed, nor will He ever change. The same Jesus that stood on a turbulent sea and said, "Be still" , and the wind and waves obeyed, is the same Jesus that sits on the throne now. I can not promise that Christ will calm the rain, but Jesus Christ Himself promised that He would be with you in the rain, and see you through it; He will never leave you. Whatever you are facing, I pray that the Spirit that moved across the waters in the beginning, the same Spirit that rose Christ Jesus from the dead, moves on you today. Lift your eyes to Jesus Christ and praise Him in the rain; ignore every voice that torments you, and stay focused on the voice that speaks life, the voice of the Lord Jesus Christ.
