Even Though We Were Sinners, Christ Died For Us
It is written, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). At anytime, Christ could have said, "No. I will not suffer and die for the sins of the world". But in His love, He died so we may be forgiven. I do not claim to know your pain, I can only tell you of the pain that Jesus delivered me from. Full of hate, mostly for myself, on a path to self-destruction, Christ never gave up on me. Even though I turned my back on Him, He never turned His back on me, and when I finally turned to Him, He was there waiting with open arms. I may not know your pain, but God does. Christ died so you may live, and He lives now forever more calling out to all. My dearest friends, you do not have to remain in this pain. Whoever you are that are trapped in a mind of torment, struggling with thoughts and actions of self-ridicule and/or suicide, call out to the one that bore all the guilt, shame, ridicule, anger, hatred, and every other thing you may be fighting with. I implore you, call out to Jesus Christ; He will not turn away anyone who comes to Him with a sincere heart. Be free in He who gives freedom, and in your darkness, look to the light who is Christ Jesus the Lord.
