Stay Focused on Christ

There have been times where I felt like Christ was light-years away, and as if I was moments from drowning in the ocean of despair. But it was not Him who drew away from me, it was me who drew away from Him. There may be something in your life that has taken the place of Christ; you may not even have realized what it is. You see my dearest friends, Jesus Christ is not only with us on our sea of turmoil, with it's waves of discouragement beating us further down into the depths of anguish. Christ is also with us on the smooth waters, with the sun shining and a cool refreshing mist kissing our faces; it is on these waters we can easily be deceived and taken unaware. It is also in these moments where we need to keep our eyes on Christ, lest we be taken by the adversary, and tempted by something that looks harmless on the surface,but beneath lies a ravenous beast waiting to devour us. When things are calm, beware, for the enemy is always plotting of ways to break your focus off of Christ, and cause you to focus your eyes onto something else that may become an idol. So my dearly beloved, it is not about you and your fleshly lust, it is ALL about the Lord Jesus Christ. He walks on the ocean with you; rather in the storm, or in the calm heading into the storm. Keep your focus on Jesus Christ. Grace be with you all.
