The Tomb is Empty
They took Him to Golgotha, where they crucified Him. The sun went dark; with one final breath He cried out,"It is finished", and He gave up the ghost. The earth began to quake, as the Savior of the world hung dead on a cross. Blood still pouring from the open wounds, blood poured out for us; they killed my Savior. His body was wrapped, laid in a borrowed tomb, and sealed inside; laid in darkness. The war on death was waged, a battle in the grave; the war on the enemy began; they thought the Son of God was defeated. But in three days, early in the morning, the ground convulsed violently, the stone that sealed the tomb was rolled away, and Christ walked out of the tomb. The enemy and death was defeated. The perfect love and power of the King came bursting forward; the grave could not hold Him. You see, the tomb is empty; you will not find His bones. It is not completely certain where this tomb is, but one thing is for certain, He is not in it. The Savior of the world, the Lamb that was slain, is risen. My Savior died, but still, my Savior is alive. Jesus Christ is more alive than you or I, and He calls out to the lost sheep, "Come home my child; please come home".
